HE’S a real estate agent by day and a philanthropic marathon runner by night.

John Stout, of Matcham, crams more than most into his days in order to look after his family and pursue his passions.

In addition to working fulltime, the father of four daughters can also be found training at Fitness First, Erina, four mornings and five nights a week.

Stout has run four marathons this year, as far north as Gold Coast and in Sydney.

He is also preparing for next month’s Blackmores Bridge Run, before running the 11th annual midnight Bangkok run in October.

“It’s held then because it gets too hot otherwise.

“You get runners from all around the world for this,” Stout said.

He and his niece Vanessa aren’t just heading overseas to test their bodies, they’ll also be leaving the country to test their minds.

The pair are heading to Cambodia for two weeks, to work on client record databases for the M’Lop Tapang centre for street children.

They did similar work last year at the House of the Rainbow Bridge AIDS orphanage, also in Cambodia.
